Method

  • STEP 1
  • Season the beaten eggs with salt and pepper—heat butter and oil in a nonstick frying pan on medium heat until butter is melted and foaming.
  • STEP 2
  • Pour the egg mixture into the pan to allow the eggs to swirl. Allow the mixture to cook for approximately 20 seconds, then use a spatula to make a mark in the middle.
  • STEP 3
  • To allow the egg to set, tilt the pan once more. Continue this process until the egg is set.
  • STEP 4
  • You can fill the omelet by adding grated cheese, sliced meat, fresh herbs, sauteed mushrooms, or smoked salmon. Spread the filling on top of the omelet. Fold in half using the spatula. Place on a serving platter.

    • 1 tsp sunflower oil
    • 1 tsp butter
